Lotte City Hotel Jeju: Super convenient location above Lotte Duty Free
For this trip to Jeju Island, South Korea, I stayed at two hotels in Jeju City. Besides the Shilla Stay Jeju Hotel introduced in the previous article, the other is the Lotte City Hotel Jeju introduced below. When choosing a hotel in Jeju City, both Shilla Stay Jeju Hotel and Lotte City Hotel Jeju were my preferred choices. Since the itinerary involved staying in Jeju City at both the beginning and the end, I decided to stay at each of them once.

Jeju Hotel Recommendation: “Lotte City Hotel Jeju” Accommodation Review
1. Location & Transportation of Lotte City Hotel Jeju
Lotte City Hotel Jeju is also located in Yeondong, New Jeju City, not far from Yeondong Shopping Street, Lotte Mart, and Emart. Moreover, the Lotte Duty Free shop is right below the hotel, making it the best hotel choice in Jeju City for friends planning a shopping spree.

Lotte City Hotel Jeju faces one of the main roads in Jeju City, which is very busy with heavy traffic. Therefore, it takes a bit more time waiting for the traffic lights to change when crossing the road.
Walking straight along the road facing the hotel, you’ll reach Yeondong Shopping Street, which is convenient for shopping and dining.
Next to the hotel, there is this famous bakery and several convenience stores, making it easy to buy snacks for a late-night treat in the hotel.
2. Environment & Facilities of Lotte City Hotel Jeju
Lotte City Hotel Jeju is a 22-story building, one of the tallest in the area. The lower floors house Lotte Duty Free, while the hotel rooms are located from the 7th to the 21st floor.

As most of the ground floor is used for Lotte Duty Free, entering through the hotel’s main entrance on the ground floor does not lead to the hotel lobby. The hotel lobby is located on the sixth floor.
The lobby design of Lotte City Hotel Jeju is relatively simple, not as stylish as Shilla Stay Jeju Hotel.
The hotel provides facilities such as a swimming pool, fitness room, etc., for guests to use free of charge. There is also a coin-operated laundry machine.
The hotel has a four-level underground parking lot, with the entrance next to the main hotel entrance. This parking lot is shared with Lotte Duty Free. Guests of Lotte City Hotel can park for free. When entering the parking lot, take a ticket at the gate as usual. Then, after registering with the staff at the hotel lobby, insert the parking ticket when exiting to open the gate.
The parking lot has elevators that go directly to the guest room floors, although a room key card is required to access the guest room levels.
There are two sets of elevators. The one labeled ‘Banquet Guest Only’ only goes to Lotte Duty Free. Only the elevators labeled ‘Hotel Guest Only’ go to the guest floors and the hotel lobby.
The building housing Lotte City Hotel Jeju has Lotte Duty Free Jeju from the ground floor to the 4th floor. The entrance is next to the hotel’s main entrance on the ground floor.
3. Rooms at Lotte City Hotel Jeju

Room key card. It is needed for using the elevator and supplying power in the room.
We stayed in an Executive Double Room, Ocean View, which was over 30 square meters in size, a bit larger than the Standard Double Room at Shilla Stay Jeju Hotel we stayed in previously.
The double bed was also larger.
A simple and functional desk
As the name suggests, the Sea View Room offers a view of the sea. We stayed on the seventeenth floor, and the view was very open and unobstructed. It turns out that Jeju Airport is located between the hotel and the sea, so you can frequently see planes taking off and landing.
Toilet and Bathroom

There are two small wardrobes in the room, providing sufficient space.
The wardrobe also contains these odor-absorbing charcoal blocks, so you don’t have to worry about clothes smelling after a Korean BBQ meal.
Other amenities in the room
The power sockets in the hotel room feature both the three-pin rectangular type and the Korean two-pin round type. Additionally, a converter is provided for guests to use.
The guest rooms at Lotte City Hotel have free WiFi, and the internet speed is, of course, very fast.
4. Lotte City Hotel Jeju Stay Summary
Lotte City Hotel Jeju, like Shilla Stay Jeju Hotel, is one of the better quality hotels in Jeju City. Although its design is not as stylish as Shilla Stay Jeju, the room quality is comparable and equally excellent. Furthermore, Lotte City Hotel Jeju is part of the Lotte Hotels & Resorts group’s business hotel brand, so its quality is absolutely guaranteed. Consequently, guest ratings for Lotte City Hotel and Shilla Stay Jeju are very close, both scoring above 8.5 on major booking websites.
If I had to choose only one, I would recommend Shilla Stay Jeju Hotel slightly more because its design is more modern, the hotel is newer, and its prices are somewhat cheaper than Lotte City Hotel. Of course, Lotte City Hotel Jeju is also highly recommended as a great place to stay in Jeju.
