1. Who needs to submit the Taiwan Arrival Card?
Except for Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau residents entering Taiwan with an Entry Permit who are exempt from submitting the arrival card, all foreigners (excluding those holding Resident Visas, Alien Resident Certificates, and Diplomatic Official IDs) need to fill out and submit the arrival card when entering Taiwan.
2. How early can the Electronic Arrival Card be submitted?
The Electronic Arrival Card is valid for 3 days. Therefore, the system only allows filling it out within 3 days prior to the arrival date. For example, if arriving on October 30, the earliest you can fill out the Electronic Arrival Card is October 28. This means when filling out the form, the arrival date can only be selected as today, tomorrow, or the day after.
3. Where can the Electronic Arrival Card be filled out and submitted?
The “Taiwan Electronic Arrival Card” can only be filled out and submitted through the official website of Taiwan’s National Immigration Agency (https://twac.immigration.gov.tw/). There is no mobile app. The website is available in five languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, and Vietnamese.

The following section provides a detailed introduction to the process and precautions for filling out and submitting the “Taiwan Electronic Arrival Card,” including how to fill it out, how to modify submitted information, and how to fill it out for accompanying family members.
Below is the detailed process for filling out and submitting the “Taiwan Electronic Arrival Card” using the English version of the desktop website. The process is the same for the mobile version or other language versions, with only some layout differences on mobile.
1. Filling out the Electronic Arrival Card
1. After entering the “Taiwan Electronic Arrival Card” website homepage, click the “Submit Arrival Card” button or link, then click the “START” button. Next, fill in a valid email address and click the “SEND VERIFICATION CODE” button.














2. After receiving the verification code, enter or paste it on the webpage, then click the “VERIFY CODE” button.


3. Select the intended arrival date (within 3 days), and fill in the personal details as shown on your passport, including:
- Name
- Passport Number
- Passport Expiry Date
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Nationality [Note 1]
- Place of Birth [Note 1]
- Current Residence [Note 1]
- Visa Type [Note 2]
- Contact Phone Number
- Occupation
- Email Address (The email address verified in the previous step cannot be modified.)


Note 1: You can enter the three-letter country or territory code in the input field and then select it from the menu, for example, USA for the United States, GBR for the United Kingdom, CAN for Canada, AUS for Australia, SGP for Singapore, MYS for Malaysia, etc.
Note 2: If your passport need to apply visa and you already hold a valid visa to enter Taiwan, select “Holding a visa” and fill in the visa details, including Visa Type and Visa Number. Except in special circumstances, the visa type should be selected as “Visitor Visa“. If no visa is required, select “No Visa” and then choose “Visa-Exempt” for the visa type.


Note 3: Information not marked with a red asterisk is optional, such as Chinese Name, City of Birth, etc.
Note 4: There are two ways to fill in personal details: The first is to upload an image of the passport data page for the system to read; the second is to manually input the details mentioned above.
If you are only filling out and submitting the arrival card for one person, click the “Next” button after completion to proceed. If you need to fill out the arrival card for accompanying family members, click the “ADD TRAVELER” button and fill in the traveler’s personal details as described above.
Accompanying travelers can choose to use the same email address to receive the arrival card or enter a different one.


If declaring multiple accompanying family members at once, you can repeat the steps above. In a single declaration, you can fill out and submit electronic arrival cards for up to 10 people (including yourself). After filling in everyone’s personal details, click the “NEXT” button to proceed.
4. Fill in the journey details, including entry and exit transportation, purpose of visit, and accommodation details in Taiwan:
- Entry Details:
- Mode of Travel [Options: AIR or SEA]
- Flight Code (Airline Code) [If AIR is selected above]
- Flight Number/Vehicle Number [Fill in the flight number or ship voyage number]
- Exit Details:
- Mode of Travel [Options: AIR or SEA]
- Flight Code (Airline Code) [If AIR is selected above]
- Flight Number/Vehicle Number [Fill in the flight number or ship voyage number]
- Expected Departure Date
- Purpose of Visit
- Accommodation Details:
- If staying at a friend’s or relative’s house, select “Residential Address” and fill in the detailed address.
- If staying at a hotel, select “Hotel Name” and enter the name of the hotel.
- If only transiting, select “Transfer“.


If declaring arrival cards for multiple people simultaneously, you need to switch to each person’s page to fill in the above details. If the details are the same as the first traveler, you can check the box next to “Same as Lead Traveler” to automatically fill in the same information.


After completion, click the “NEXT” button to proceed.
5. Finally, review the filled-in details for accuracy, check the box to agree to the terms of use, and then click the “SUBMIT” button to submit the Electronic Arrival Card.


After successfully submitting the Electronic Arrival Card, you will receive an email containing a PDF file of the Electronic Arrival Card.


You can print this Electronic Arrival Card PDF file and present the QR code to customs upon arrival. If you prefer not to print it, you can also save the Electronic Arrival Card PDF file on your phone and present the file directly from your phone upon arrival.
2. Modifying submitted Arrival Card information
After submitting the Electronic Arrival Card, if you find errors in the information filled out, you can retrieve the arrival card data on the website to make corrections. The method for modifying submitted Electronic Arrival Card information is as follows:
1. After entering the “Taiwan Electronic Arrival Card” website homepage, click the “Update Arrival Card” button or link.


2. After entering the following four pieces of information, enter the verification code, then click the “VERIFY” button. After successful verification, click the “SUBMIT” button to log in.
- Arrival Card Number [Can be found in the Electronic Arrival Card PDF file received via email]
- Date of Birth
- Passport Number
- Nationality


3. Correct the content following the method for filling out the arrival card, then click the “Submit” button to resubmit the Electronic Arrival Card. After successfully modifying the Electronic Arrival Card information, the system will send the latest Electronic Arrival Card PDF file to your email address.
